Beach Star Ibiza Hotel Review – Priya Faith

Beach Star Ibiza Hotel Review - Priya Faith

Beach Star Ibiza

Although it’s taken me nearly a month to get around to writing this review, The Beach Star Ibiza comes highly recommended.

I stayed for 4 nights at the end of June alongside two of my friends, and we all loved it. We arrived after a late flight to a warm welcome and a chilled glass of prosecco.

Check-in was super quick, exactly what we wanted as we were heading straight out. Fabio, on reception, was fabulous and on hand with everything we needed to know.

Our room was a self-catering sea-view studio for three. For the standard of the hotel, it was really reasonably priced, especially for high season.

The hotel is located towards the far end of the San Antonio Bay on the horseshoe. Close enough to the action but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet and crowd-free beaches on those hangover days.

The Room

Our room was spacious and clean and actually looked exactly like the pictures, something that doesn’t always happen with European hotels. The bedroom had two single beds and plenty of storage space with a third bed in the living area.

The bathroom was light and airy, again with ample space for all of our stuff. The kitchen area was full of appliances, not that we actually used any of it apart from the fridge and freezer, to store the essentials of course.

The balcony had a full sea view and was spacious enough for all of us to sit outside together. There was also a table in the living area. On our first night, the aircon in the bedroom wasn’t working, but once we told reception it was dealt with quickly.

On the days we were actually out of bed at a reasonable time, housekeeping came in cleaned the room, replacing the towels, washing the floors and cleaning the bathroom each day.

On the days when we struggled to get out of bed, they would always return later on to clean.

The Pool

The pool area was one of the reasons we booked this hotel. If you’ve seen The Beach Star on Instagram, you’ll appreciate how aesthetically pleasing it is.

You’ll also see that the hotel is a big hit with celebrity guests, and I can see why. The pool has a DJ all day, with the music quiet enough not to disturb those hangover naps.

There are plenty of sun loungers, cabana beds and shaded spots to chill out in. The pool was clean, there was a shower to cool off in and to make things even better, waitress service. You couldn’t ask for much more!

The Location

Although the hotel isn’t really walking distance from San Antonio, there’s plenty of shops and places to eat around it. We’re lazy so we took taxis everywhere, but they’d come in a matter of minutes when the hotel called them.

As mentioned before, the hotel is located right on the beach, one of the more picturesque stretches of beach in the bay and had great views across to San Antonio.

Food & Drink

Although I didn’t make it to breakfast at all, I did try some of the food off of the daytime menu, and everything we tried was really good.

The menu is a blend of British classics, Spanish food and Thai, with plenty of options for even the fussiest eater.

There are two bars and all of the drinks we tried (there were a lot) we’re spot on and reasonably priced.

Considering a lot of people come to The Beach Star in the day to use the pool and facilities, they could probably get away with charging a little more, but they’ve kept pricing affordable which is good.

In all honesty, we didn’t have much interaction with the staff, but from what we saw, they were all great. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Beach Star, and if I return to Ibiza (it’s highly likely) I will stay again for sure!

If you enjoyed this review, you’ll be glad to know I missed my flight home (such a shame) so, a second hotel review is coming very soon, stay tuned!
