BBC Radio 1 Ibiza 2018 will take place on its usual weekend being the first in August. Radio 1 will be taking over Cafe Mambo on Friday the 3rd and Sunday the 5th bringing the Radio 1 dance crew to the iconic sunset venue.
Annie Mac, Benji B, B.Traits, Danny Howard, Monki and Pete Tong will be hitting the White Isle with a huge list of special guests (listed below) for this iconic weekend.
For those that cannot make it they will be broadcasting live at 6pm Ibiza time 7pm UK time on both evenings, those that can the show is free to attend and no tickets are required.
My love affair with Ibiza and this blog began by pure chance, about 10 years ago a dear friend of mine gave me some podcasts to listen to which included Trance Around The World as it was then by Above and Beyond and I loved it and became a fan of theirs.
A couple of years later we got the opportunity to see Above and Beyond live at Brixton Academy in London and had one of the best nights ever. We had our children young so clubbing and going to gigs had never featured in our lives but from the euphoria of that night we were desperate to see Above and Beyond again.
We looked through their tour dates and the only one which worked childcare and work wise was Amnesia in Ibiza flying out of Bournemouth on Monday and returning Friday with the gig itself on Thursday night so we booked without hesitation. Read more
In a bold move flight and tour operator, Jet2 extends the Ibiza late and early season flight and holiday schedule for 2018 and 2019.
As many of us know travelling to and from Ibiza at the start and the end of the main summer season we have limited options from UK regional airports especially in late October early November and then again in early April.
Jet2 are looking to plug this gap in the market by adding more flights from several of its UK regional bases being Birmingham, East Midlands, Glasgow, Manchester and Newcastle with some flights operating as late as the 4th of November (Birmingham). Read more

Ibiza in July is traditionally the start of the peak season for the island, with the start of the month being relaxed and laid back and as the traditional summer holidays begin towards the end it is much busier and truly the peak of the season as August approaches.
