In the peak season of July and August the number of parties held on the island each week is mind blowing.

Just covering the major venues on the island we got to 78 different events and then stopped counting as beyond that it would nearly be impossible to calculate, if you included pre-parties, after parties, boat parties, beach clubs and the like.

Ibiza has always been at the forefront of fashion and design and this year the Ibiza Fashion Festival will come to the White Isle on the evening of the 4th of June at Mo Resturante in Es Cubells in the south of the island.

The event is produced by Creative Director Karen Windle who after several visits to Ibiza saw a gap in the market to promote and give a platform for new and emerging brands that would be beneficial to the island’s talent.

The theme of this year’s event is Swimwear and Boho fashion and will showcase not only Ibizan designers but up and coming international designers to then expand into a multi venue week of shows in 2017. Read more

The Ibiza Medieval Festival returns for its 16th year this weekend (5th – 8th May) and brings the history of Dalt Vila and Ibiza Town to life. The festivities start on Thursday evening with an Opening Parade and Medieval Tournament and continues throughout the weekend.

The streets of the Old Town, known as Dalt Vila, transforms into a fantastic Outdoor Theater populated by jugglers, artists, bird tamers, craftsmen, goldsmiths, merchants, dancers and chocolate manufacturers which converts the Old Town into a vibrant and a fascinating mix of colours, smells and flavours from different continents. Ibiza Beach Rugby Festival 2016

The 5th edition of the Ibiza Beach Rugby festival will take place on the 7th May on s’Arenal beach in San Antonio.

Organised by Ibiza Sports Tours in association with Ibiza Club de Rugby and San Antonio Council the competition will see 400 competitors in 28 teams participate, 10 mens, 10 womens and 8 veterans over the day to be crowed champion of the festival.

Teams will arrive from across Europe for the competition with an introduction evening and the competition draw on the Friday at Surf Lounge Ibiza.

The competition itself will be taking place on the Saturday across two fields of play on the beautiful San Antonio beach of s’Arenal. Read more

This is a little known gastronomical delight, based in and around San Antonio that takes place every year during the Winter. This year the 8th edition of Pintxa runs from the 18th February until the 24th March every Thursday.

Participating restaurants and bars produce a small delicacy Pintxo a skewer or a delight on bread for 2.50 or a larger tapas for 4.50 both include a beer or wine.

So far for 2016, 34 establishments in San Antonio and 12 from the surrounding areas are taking part in what is becoming a real annual event and hard fought competition between the 46 establishments. Read more
