This year’s closing parties will be especially poignant with Space in its current form closing for good at the end of the 2016 season after 27 years in Playa den Bossa.

The Fiesta of Sant Bartomeu 2016 (St. Bartholomew) runs from the 18th of August to the 4th of September in San Antonio Ibiza.

It involves a programme of diverse activities, ranging from live music and culture events to sports competitions and entertainment, through to acts of a more traditional nature as well as a huge firework display.

The Bloop International Proactive Art Festival is a month long celebration of art with the ethos of “art is for everybody”. Predominantly based in San Antonio, but also taking place in venues across Ibiza it starts on the 16th July and continues until the 16th August.

Since it first ran in 2011 the Bloop festival has grown year on year bringing art to the masses and in 2015 attracted in excess of 90’000 people to its exhibitions, workshops and events.

Each year the event has a theme which this year is titled “no fear” which is very apt with the turmoils of the world being reported day by day. Read more

Ibiza has always been at the forefront of fashion and design and this year the Ibiza Fashion Festival will come to the White Isle on the evening of the 4th of June at Mo Resturante in Es Cubells in the south of the island.

The event is produced by Creative Director Karen Windle who after several visits to Ibiza saw a gap in the market to promote and give a platform for new and emerging brands that would be beneficial to the island’s talent.

The theme of this year’s event is Swimwear and Boho fashion and will showcase not only Ibizan designers but up and coming international designers to then expand into a multi venue week of shows in 2017. Read more

The Ibiza Medieval Festival returns for its 16th year this weekend (5th – 8th May) and brings the history of Dalt Vila and Ibiza Town to life. The festivities start on Thursday evening with an Opening Parade and Medieval Tournament and continues throughout the weekend.

The streets of the Old Town, known as Dalt Vila, transforms into a fantastic Outdoor Theater populated by jugglers, artists, bird tamers, craftsmen, goldsmiths, merchants, dancers and chocolate manufacturers which converts the Old Town into a vibrant and a fascinating mix of colours, smells and flavours from different continents.
