Drums at Sunset
This is one event that we have been wanting to attend for many years and finally, we got the chance to experience the drums at sunset on Benirras Beach along with photographer Natasha Marshall and fellow blogger Zoe Newlove.
The ritual goes back many years to Sunday, August the 18th 1991 when many hundreds of people gathered to protest about the Gulf War. This became known locally as The Day of the Drums.
This then grew into an annual event attracting thousands of peace lovers and hippies from across the world sending out the message that Ibiza is all about peace. Read more

Cala Gracioneta near San Antonio Ibiza
For those visiting Ibiza for the sun, sea and sand here are our favourite beaches all within easy reach of San Antonio, but require either a little extra walking or a ferry trip to get to.
Our top tip when visiting these beaches is to pick up some snorkelling gear beforehand and make the most of the Mediterranean Sea by exploring underwater. There are many wonder to behold, from the Posidonia Oceanicato to the abundance of fish and other marine life.

Ibiza is famed for its beaches and there are 4 beaches within walking distance of San Antonio.
The beaches are clean with most having sun beds and parasols to rent, water sports and come complete with a lifeguard and medical point manned throughout the day (during the summer season)
From time to time you will see masses of seaweed washed up on the beaches of Ibiza. It is in actual fact not seaweed but a plant which has adapted to living under the ocean called Posidonia Oceanica.
More commonly know as “Neptune Grass” it grows in meadows under the sea throughout the Mediterranean.
