Ibiza Club Announcements for January 2017

The last few weeks have seen a flurry of announcements from the Ibiza clubs we all so love, so here is a run down of the Ibiza club announcements so far for January 2017.

We shall start with what has been the biggest tease since New Year’s Day when Carl Cox wore a Pure Carl Cox Ibiza 2017 emblazoned T-Shirt at the Tobacco Dock in London.

Since then odd little teasers and titbits have been flowing through social media finally culminating in the big announcement last night.

Pure Carl Cox will take over Privilege on Tuesday the 11th and 18th July 2017 promising to bring the spirit of old school raving back to the dance floor.

This is great news for fans of Carl Cox fans who saw him end his 15 year residency at Space last year and also for Privilege the biggest Super Club in Ibiza.  It will undoubtedly be one of the biggest clubs nights in Ibiza in 2017.

The Amnesia Opening Party will be held on the 27th May and after a troubled 2016 we hope this will be an amazing year for one of the islands best known clubs.

Cream Ibiza has confirmed its 23rd year on the island taking up their usual Thursday night slot at Amnesia from the 8th June. This is one of our favourite nights and one of the best parties on the island.

Elrow has announced it is taking over the Saturday night slot from the 3rd June at Amnesia bringing their unique party to a new venue for 2017 after many years at Space.

Lastly for Amnesia is Cocoon on Mondays, this will be Sven Väth’s 18th Season in Ibiza, this is the original techno party for Ibiza.

Moving on Zoo Project has confirmed a return to Benimussa Park on Saturdays and have added a second weekly event on Tuesdays starting the 9th of May so even more chances let your inner animal free.

On the future of what was Space it seems a minor clerical error by owners Ushuaia this week which was spotted by  Danny Kay and it looks likely that it will be renamed Hi Ibiza. So despite the owners publicly stating in two interviews they would be keeping the name Space it seems it will now be changing.

Whether this was as a direct result of the backlash from clubbers who believed that keeping the name Space would be sacrilege or whether Pepe Rosell owns the rights to the name we are unsure but check out Danny Kay’s blog here for all the details.

It already seems that Ibiza 2017 is going to be one of the biggest and best yet for the island.
