So, why have one or the other if you can have the best of both worlds? This guide will highlight a combination of electric nightlife, fantastic dining & drinking with secluded spots & chilled out excursions.

  • Dalt Vila, Ibiza Town

Located in the capital Ibiza Town & above the harbor is the old quarter of Dalt Vila, with the Gothic-style Catedral de Santa María and views from Renaissance-era fortifications. Its formidable, floodlit, 16th-century bastions visible from across southern Ibiza, Dalt Vila is a fortified hilltop first settled by the Phoenicians and later occupied by a roster of subsequent civilisations. Tranquil and atmospheric, many of its cobbled lanes are accessible only on foot.

The dramatic main entrance is up a slope, crossing a drawbridge through the Portal de Ses Taules, flanked by mighty statues in Roman stone, entering into an ancient cobbled stone courtyard, giving immediately on to the Plaza de Vila or main square.

The listed nature reserve is made up of marshes, sparkling salt pans, pine-covered cliffs & sandy beaches. The site is also home to more than 210 species of birds & wildlife.

  • Formentera

The little sister island of Ibiza is a must visit! If you dream of white-sandy beaches & turquoise waters this is the place for you! Boosting stunning coastlines that rival the likes of the Caribbean, this quiet, tranquil island is the perfect place to escape to for a few days!

Of course, there is still so much this island can offer, so don’t overlook this destination for a chilled or fun filled break! If you fancy some snorkelling, diving, jeep safaris, boat trips or many more fun excursions, be sure to check out Viator.
