Love Food Ibiza Launches Cooking Show
Love Food Ibiza today launched a new web series exploring the amazing gastronomical side of the white isle which is missed by many who visit.
Presented by Tess Prince, the series explores the amazing ingredients, places and people of Ibiza bringing it all together to show us all how to make some of the best dishes found across the island.
Tess Prince has always had a love affair with Spanish food from an early age when she took long family summer holidays across Spain.
After visiting Ibiza Tess fell in love with the island’s unique magic further adding to her love of all things Spanish and shortly after marrying moved to the island with her husband Dan.
Together in 2015 Love Food Ibiza was born and covers the best of Ibiza food and produce with seasonal recipes, healthy eating guidelines, information about island produce, reviews on great places to eat, chatting with the island’s leading chefs, restaurant owners, cool Ibiza artisans, superstar DJs and brilliantly creative mixologists.
In the first episode, below, you will learn the secret ingredients of Ibiza’s finest paella from El Carmen’s Head Chef as well as how to make a decadent chocolate coconut mousse cake all under the gaze of the magical rock of Es Vedra.
Each episode will explore a different side of Ibiza as Tess explained “My greatest pleasure comes from connecting with the amazing characters of Ibiza whether it is the local organic pig farmer who has single handedly saved many rare species on the island, the loveable old hippy with over 200 wild chickens that produce the best eggs you’ll ever taste, the fisherman who brings back the freshest fish imaginable or the original Ibicencan families who still run their roadside stalls selling the finest fruit and vegetables from the land.”
Future episodes include:
- Cooking one of the world’s biggest ever burgers at Balafia to see if superstar DJ Eats Everything can actually eat everything.
- Sailing to Formentera on an ecological catamaran whilst making a raw food solar powered lunch.
- Exploring the Salinas salt flats and then making salt baked seabass for the Mambo Brothers at their father’s Villa Mercedes restaurant.
- Creating cocktails and tapas at the wildest hotel on the planet – Pikes and conjuring up traditional Ibiza recipes in the middle of a rural, organic farm.
