Ocean Beach rebrand

One of the hottest venues on the white isle Ocean Beach Ibiza announces a new name for the venue going forward as well as some intriguing worldwide expansion plans.

In a video released across social media, the new name was announced with the following statement.

To mark the start of an exciting new era, we’ve had a small name change!

We’ve dropped a few letters and are ecstatic to announce that along with rebranding, we have plans for Croatia, London and the U.S.A as well as Dubai which is set to launch in Autumn 2019! #obeachibiza

It also launched along with a new logo (top left) and a new website to accompany the new brand.

More details were also released via their blog explaining the decision to rebrand and tweak the name from owners Duane, Tony and Wayne.

“We were very happy with how we positioned our venue as a brand and the fact it has become a household name in just 6 years is incredible. We took the original name in the belief that it remains up to date, that the word ‘Ocean’ was a global unilateral word and that as such its use should give raise to no sort of problem whatsoever.

However, at a certain point it became apparent that it could conflict with third parties and hinder us when moving into foreign territories and, as they say sometimes, you cannot become what you want by remaining the same so for us to mark the start of an exciting new era, changing our name was a necessity. Therefore, we are very pleased to announce that along with our slight rebrand, we’re also planning to move into other territories with plans for Dubai, the USA and Croatia.”

But do not panic although they have dropped a few letters from the name they are still promising the same ultimate experience from the venue in San Antonio with their usual winter changes to keep the venue fresh and striving to offer an even better product than the year just gone.

Tony Truman also sat down with Martin Makepeace to give this interview about the name change but with a few surprises along the way about future developments in San An away from O Beach.
