In the many years of visiting the island and writing about it wonders this is a line I hear a lot –  Ibiza it’s just not the same anymore because of blah blah blah.

I never really got or understood this line, Ibiza is a wondrous and ever evolving island it sets trends, it is forward thinking in how it deals with music, tastes, styles, fashion even tourism to some degree. Read more

Another exciting month of announcements from everyone’s favourite island with lots to go through, so with no delay here is the Ibiza news roundup for February 2018.

We start with some fantastic environmental news which came in two parts, the first is the Balearic islands as a whole want to ban single-use plastic items by 2020.

Items include plastic cups, plates and cutlery, straws, disposable razors, lighters and coffee machine capsules which have become a blight on the beaches and coves of the islands where it washes up from people incorrectly disposing of it. Read more

For those that don’t know since our very first trip to Ibiza, we have become great lovers of Chilli Pepper Charters’ boat trips based in San Antonio.

They run relaxed afternoon and sunset boat trips in an old wooden vessel suitable for up to 20 people and have always been so welcoming to us, our family and friends. Read more

This week we embarked on our first ever true winter trip to Ibiza something that we have been wanting to do for many years.

We took the 4-hour drive from home to London to catch the only direct flight to Ibiza from the UK in the winter with British Airways.

With restrictions being proposed in San Antonio for summer 2018 this brings even further blows for clubbers in Ibiza.

It is being proposed that the four Super Clubs will have to close at 6am with no extensions being allowed for opening and closing parties as seen in previous years.

This will cover Eden, Es Paradis, Privilege and Amnesia – the latter  of which who are famous for dancing into the midday sun at the start and the end of the season. Read more

The dust has hardly had a chance to settle on the summer of 2017 and yet already the first announcement for next year has hit our inboxes – Craig David returns to Ibiza Rocks for 2018.

This will be Craig David’s 3rd year of TS5 pool party residency at the iconic San Antonio venue.

Starting in 2016 they reinvented the big name pool parties in Ibiza and they have been hugely successful selling out way in advance week after week.

For 2018 Craig David will return for his longest season yet under the Ibiza sun for 12 weeks every Tuesday from the 10th of July until the 25th of September. Read more
