The Beaches of San Antonio Ibiza
Ibiza is famed for its beaches and there are 4 beaches within walking distance of San Antonio.
The beaches are clean with most having sun beds and parasols to rent, water sports and come complete with a lifeguard and medical point manned throughout the day (during the summer season)
You can view our map here of their locations.
- S’Arenal de San Antonio
This is the main beach, which is actually manmade. Its 500 meters long x 50 meters wide and looks out across the beautiful harbour of San Antonio.
It is a very popular beach, especially with the younger partygoers due to its location, but never looks full and there is always space to lay out.
The water is ok, but not the best due to the amount of boat traffic in and out of the harbour, but is fine for paddling and messing about in.
There are ample bars and restaurants all within walking distance and it’s close to all the amenities of San Antonio.
- Calo des Moro
To the north of the town past the sunset strip is Calo des Moro. It is a small beach, 50 meters x 20 meters and is popular with the locals, especially in the mornings where they take their daily dip.
The water is clear and you can snorkel here around the submerged rocks.
There are a few bars and a supermarket close by and it’s perfect if you are staying at that end of town.
For sunbathing there is a wooden deck above the beach which is perfect for lying on.
Beside the beach is a dedicated swimming lane for those who wish to swim in open water without distraction. The lane is 7.5 meters wide 450 meters long and lays 50 meters just off the shore running west along the coast towards the Aquarium cap Blanc.
It is ideal for those training for competition or those who like to swim a little more seriously than most beaches allow.
- Playa Es Pouet
With beautiful views of the bay this is located within the Bay of San Antonio and is a short walk from San Antonio itself. A long curving beach with shallow waters it is great for children to play safely both in and out of the water.
There are snack bars and local shops close by as well as great transport links.
- Calo Gracia
A little further north (about a mile from the centre of San Antonio) is Calo Gracio with a beautiful curved beach well protected from the breeze and choppy waves.
The beach is 100 meters wide x 200 long with sun beds / parasols to rent and a small cafe serving meals and drinks all day long.
The beach is shallow as it enters the water and is great for snorkeling, especially along the rocks to the right; we have seen some amazing underwater sights here.
If your a good swimmer and brave enough you can swim out along side the rocks and round to Cala Gracioneta which is also a lovely little beach.
