When Somerset meets Ibiza Corona Sunsets
It’s not a likely pairing seeing Somerset and Ibiza in the same sentence but this weekend sees Corona Sunsets’ Music Festival returning to the Somerset resort of Weston-super-Mare, our UK home town.
Last year was the first year we saw this event appear on the calendar and it started in Weston-super-Mare and finished in the sunset’s iconic home of Ibiza – and we loved it
with Annie Mac and Disclosure being our highlights of the event.
With world acclaimed artists performing in a festival setting on the beach as the sun goes down, this year it all kicked off in Mexico and will visit Weston-super-Mare next on July 11th before moving on to Italy on July 25th, Ibiza on 13th August, China TBC and Australia TBC.
This is our video from last year which gives you a great idea of what to expect.
Being local to us, it’s a “must do” event and this year the line up on the Griffin Stage includes Headliners Clean Bandit and Dj sets from Groove Armada, Rob da Bank and more including last year’s Sound of the Beach competition winner Uppfade.
On the Crown Stage, presented by Motion, you can see the likes of Toddla T ft Drs, Jus Now and Greg Wilson to name but a few.
We are really looking forward to the event, as its not often we get to party on our local beach here in Weston, and we will hopefully be meeting up with other Ibiza lovers who sadly like us are not on the white isle at this moment to enjoy an Ibizan style evening. (If you see us say Hi).
New for 2015 Corona Sunsets are also collecting pictures via Instagram #sharethesunset to then put together a video to go with the Robin Schulz anthem “Sun Goes Down” so even if you cannot make it to one of the events you can still be part of it all.
Corona Sunsets – Weston-Super-Mare
Saturday 11th July 2015 on Marine Parade from 2pm till 11pm
The Ibiza event will take place on 13th of August at the abandoned zoo in San Antonio, Benimussa Park.
