White Island a movie set in Ibiza
White Island is coming to a cinema near you and this is possibly the ultimate Ibiza movie based on the best selling novel “A bus could run you over” by Colin Butts.
The book is a fantastic read and the adaptation to the big screen we expect to be as good if not better and you can read our review here.
The film is a comic thriller with dark undertones and a big heart, set on the island of Ibiza.
When Connor’s best friend become innocently embroiled in the plans of a gang in Ibiza, Connor is the only one who can help him, but it means returning to the island he has avoided since the tragic death of a friend when he worked in Ibiza a few years earlier.
Once back, Connor is reunited with Leo, his former boss and mentor, a 60 year old American draft dodger turned hippy. Only thing is, Leo is trying to kill himself.

Amongst the mayhem of exploding villas, underwater drops and a gorgeous diving instructor, Connor and Leo’s journey teaches Leo that every day is precious and Connor that his life in London is not as perfect as it seems and that if he deals with his past, there is only one place he’ll ever be truly happy…Ibiza.
All he has to do is stay alive long enough to enjoy it.
Directed by Benjamin Turner and starring Billy Zane as Leo, Billy Boyd as Kyle, Ben Cura as Bartolo, Gala Gordon as Marina and also features Darren Day as Rik, Example as Mac and Carl Cox as himself.
Many regular visitors to Ibiza may have seen filming taking place across the island last summer and now finally we can all see their hard work on the big screen in selected Vue cinemas on the 21st October.

There will be screenings in Piccadilly (2 screenings), Bristol Cribbs, Cardiff, Aberdeen, Swansea, Edinburgh, Portsmouth, Plymouth, Sheffield, Finchley Road, Islington, Harrow, Croydon, Birmingham, Leicester, Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Oxford, Reading and York subject to enough attendees booking by the 16th of October.
